The offer: Fruit and vegetables with small blemishes, bread and baked goods from the day before, perfect food close to the best before date. You need a customer card to go shopping there. Please take along the following documents: Proof of your income (e.g. salary, Metzingen Card, notice from Jobcenter, notice from the Social Welfare Office, the so-called "Sozialamt"). Kinderkörble - children's clothing and toys
The Kinderkörble in Metzingen is operated by the "Kinderschutzbund" (Children's Protection Association). Here you can find used children's clothing and toys. Clothes and toys are sold for low prices.
You'll find Kinderkörble in Milchhäusle in Metzingen (Friedrichstraße 8).
Opening hours: Tuesday: 2:00 to 5:00 p.m.. If you would like to donate children's clothing or toys: The collection point in the Kinderkörble is open on Mondays from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m..
Metzingen Card
When you don't have much money and are receiving social benefits, you can apply for the Metzingen Card. This will give you discounts, e.g. on admission to the open-air and indoor swimming pools, the municipal library or some sports clubs. All information can be found on the Homepage of the city Metzingen (only in German), you can apply for the card at the Bürgerbüro (Citizen's Office) in the town hall.
